Visitor rules: pets, food and more

Pets are not allowed except guide dogs, but the West Gate dog playground looks after dogs for free. Food and alcohol cannot be brought in, though unopened bottled water and drinks are fine.

Pets

Pets are not allowed inside the garden or Suncheonman Bay Wetland. Guide dogs and other service animals are the exception.
The dog playground at the West Gate looks after your dog for free while you visit (staff care, owners not present).
The wetland has a pet playground near its parking lot.

Food and drinks

Food and alcohol cannot be brought in.
Unopened bottled water and packaged drinks are fine.
Cooking and eating are only allowed in designated areas.

Bikes and scooters

No bicycles, kick scooters, e-scooters, skateboards or inline skates.
Strollers and wheelchairs are fine.

Also not allowed

Smoking, picking plants or catching animals, drones
Glass bottles, glassware and ceramics
Balls such as footballs and baseballs, balloons and soap bubbles
Kites, model aircraft and other flying objects; radios and walkie-talkies (phones, tablets and laptops are fine)
Professional camera or recording gear (except accredited media)
Butane gas, portable stoves and other fire hazards; weapons
Commercial goods and flyers; political or religious banners

FAQ

Can I bring my dog?

Not inside the garden (guide dogs and service animals excepted). Book the West Gate dog playground online and staff will look after your dog for free for up to 4 hours — dogs under 12 kg and 40 cm tall only.

Can I bring a packed lunch or snacks?

Food and alcohol cannot be brought in. Unopened bottled water and packaged drinks are fine, and eating is only allowed in designated areas.

Are strollers and wheelchairs allowed?

Yes. Bicycles, kick scooters and e-scooters are not.

Can I fly a drone?

No. Smoking and picking plants or catching animals are also prohibited.
